Games coming to Apple devices: RoboCop: Rogue City, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, two Resident Evil games and more

The latest Apple Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) had great news for gamers who own Macs: multiple games were announced to get Mac versions.

These Mac versions will be able to take advantage of Apple software and tech like Metal FX and Apple M3 chips, respectively, to deliver high-quality gaming experiences. These games will also take advantage of Personalized Spatial Audio on the second generation of AirPods Pro to help immerse gamers and the Game Mode for Mac computers has been improved with better frame rates and advanced power management features.

Apple has also launched Game Porting Toolkit 2, which is exactly what it says on the tin. This will help make things easier for game devs in porting games onto the Mac, iPhone, and iPad and includes “some of the most requested capabilities from game developers.” The Toolkit will have better compatibility with Windows games, new shader debugging tools, and updates to Apple’s Xcode for developers to take advantage of.
