Korean men must serve in the military at some point during adulthood, and this requirement includes K-pop idols, who must pause their careers to fulfill this obligation. While the rules for enlistment have changed over time, most idols typically join the military around the age of 29.
Recently, seventeen Jeonghan enlistment plans have been a hot topic, as he has hinted at when he will enlist. Born in October 1995, Jeonghan is currently 28 years old. SEVENTEEN recently announced their RIGHT HERE World Tour, which will kick off on October 12 and 13 at Goyang Stadium in Korea.
Shortly after they announced their U.S. tour, many fans were disappointed with the number of dates scheduled. This announcement also led to a revelation about SEVENTEEN Jeonghan enlistment plans. Unfortunately, K-pop idols often deal with stalkers, known as sasaeng fans.
These fans can access private information about idols, such as phone numbers, and sometimes sell this information online. After SEVENTEEN’s U.S. tour announcement, one such account leaked information about the group’s flight details for the tour.
The tweet stated that Jeonghan and Jun were not included in the information available for sale. This revelation about SEVENTEEN Jeonghan enlistment plans added to the fans’ concerns. Despite the excitement for the tour, the news about SEVENTEEN Jeonghan enlistment plans left a significant impact on the fandom.
This has led some people to think that Jeonghan will have enlisted by that time.
Another piece of “evidence” comes from the tour announcements. In the Goyang concert poster, Jeonghan is included in the photo, but for the U.S. tour dates, there is no picture of the members.
