Well known rapper and dancer Lisa reflects on her K-pop trainee days before joining girl group Blackpink.

In an interview with ELLE, K-pop sensation Blackpink Lisa reflected on what she would tell her younger self as a K-pop trainee. Lisa, famous for her rapping and dancing skills, became a trainee at just the age of 13 years. Later, she joined internationally known K-pop girl group Blackpink.

“I’d say, ‘Let her suffer,'” she said candidly. Lisa further added, “I wouldn’t spoil any of this. I’d say, ‘Don’t think too much about the future. Just focus on what you’re doing right now. But don’t quit. Just don’t quit.'”

Lisa left her family back in Thailand and moved to South Korea to pursue her career in music at a mere age of 13 years. In this context, Lisa said, “I had to keep fighting. I had to give it my all. I didn’t care about how long would it take. I was like ‘Bring it on! I don’t care anymore!'”

The outlet reflected on the swift progress in Lisa’s conduct as she became fluent in Korean and English language hastily and she became one of the top trainee which was really inspiring for her future bandmates.

Netflix released a documentary on the group as Blackpink: Light up the sky, back in 2020. Jennie, one of her bandmate, said, “As soon as Lisa came in, that’s when I thought, ‘Wow there are people who are born to do this.'”

Rockstar singer Lisa revealed in a statement that we all girls are far from quitting this legendary group. She said, “Of course we’re continuing for sure. We’re so proud of Blackpink. and I love Blackpink. It is not just because of our fans, It’s for ourselves.

In June, Lisa dropped her solo single “Rockstar” and now is following up on new project with Rosalia on August 15 titled “New Woman.”

While other members also engaged in similar solo projects, for instance, Jennie collaborated with ZICO in April on project titled “SPOT!” and recently interviewed Billie Eilish for Spotify at an event held in Seoul.

Jisoo has made heights in fashion by collaborating with brands like Dior and Cartier. Whereas, Rosé has worked on solo project as well. Recently, Blackpink celebrated its eighth anniversary and organized a fan meet.

In this relation, Rosé wrote on her Instagram, “Thank you girlies for being my best sisters throughout all of this. I’m so so proud of us. Love you all tremendously. Happy 8 years blackpink. I can’t wait to live laugh and grow with you all,”
