An Award-winning Swedish hip-hop rapper C Gambino has been shot dead in a gang attack.

C Gambino shot dead at the age of 25
According to police, rapper C Gambino, don’t confuse him with US artist Childish Gambino, was shot at least twice in an apparent attack that took place in public parking garage in Gothenburg.
The 25-year-old rapper had links with one or more criminal networks. As the police officer said, “We suspect the crime has links to the gangs environment.”

C Gambino has over 1 million monthly listeners on the Spotify and over 90k followers on his Instagram. Gambino had kept his identity hidden in the country for long and wore mask in the public. He even received, Swedish Grammis music award for Swedish hip-hop artist of 2023, wearing a mask at the ceremony.
Sweden and organized crime
Many believe that Sweden has failed to contain organized crime in the country. The Nordic country experienced immense shootings as it more than tripled in past couple of decades and clearly surpassed the levels standing in its neighbors.

According to police, 62,000 persons are active in, or have links to one or another criminal group or network in the state.
What now?
The Swedish rapper pronounced dead in the hospital at the age of 25-year. A number of people has been interviewed as part of murder investigation but none was detained yet.
Along with all this, police declined to disclose rapper’s real name.
In a similar case, another Swedish rapper Einar, originally named Nils Gronberg, was shot dead at the age of 19. The year before, Einar was abducted and assaulted by rival rappers.
