What’s is the new Dredge DLC being teased?
The post has a video of the player’s ship traveling along the water while the various awards and nominations the team has earned appear above. The video ends with the ship being swallowed whole by a large sea creature and a short clip of the ship sailing towards what seems to be an oil rig. The developer hasn’t provided any other hints as to what the new Dredge DLC could be about.
Sailing past our milestones in this past year, and having a moment of proud reflection within our small team. We're still a bit gobsmacked at the impact the game has had & very glad you’re all along for the ride. If you watch closely you might see hints of things still to come… pic.twitter.com/69C2RCghWs

The Black Salt team expressed their gratitude to everyone who bought and played the game and proudly reflected on how far their small team has come. They also wrote that players should watch closely to see hints as to what the upcoming Dredge DLC might be, likely referring to the oil rig and the creature seen in their video.
What is Dredge?
Labeled as a cosmic horror fishing game, 2023’s Dredge puts players in a fishing trawler and has them explore various islands, selling putrid-looking fish to the local townsfolk, installing various upgrades into their vessel, uncovering the secrets of the local town’s dark history, and outrunning the aquatic monsters that lurk underneath the water’s surface.
Currently, there is one Dredge DLC pack players can purchase: The Pale Reach. This content allows fishermen to fish in a new frigid environment and comes with some new species of fish, ship upgrades, and an all-new story of betrayal and the previous ship crew that ventured into the area.
Another popular fishing game, Dave the Diver, had a crossover with Dredge last year. The monstrous fish and characters from Dredge made appearances in a free DLC pack where Dave could catch the new fish whenever a mysterious red fog appeared. Sushi made from these new catches could also be served to enigmatic hooded figures who would show up at Dave’s sushi bar.
