The Fallout TV show arriving early
The official Fallout TV show account on X (formerly Twitter) made an unexpected announcement: all episodes of the show will now be arriving on April 10 at 6 P.M. PDT instead of April 11. The post included a video where actor Walton Goggins (who plays the Ghoul) said that this was a way to thank the fans who have supported the franchise for more than 25 years. There will also be a live global fan premiere that will occur the moment all eight episodes are available for view.

What is the Fallout TV show?
The Fallout TV show takes place 200 years after nuclear bombs were detonated, wiping out a large portion of humanity. Many humans managed to survive by hiding in Vaults, fallout shelters created by a company called Vault-Tec (how on-brand). To save her father, main character Lucy (Ella Purnell) will need to leave behind everything she knows as she exits her home and steps out into the radiation-filled wasteland called Los Angeles (I’ve heard that LA in real life is much worse than Fallout’s version).
During her travels, she’ll encounter Maximus (Aaron Moten), a soldier of the Brotherhood of Steel, and the Ghoul (Walton Goggins), a former human and bounty hunter who became a ghoul due to radiation exposure, as Lucy begins to see the harsh reality that survivors of the nuclear apocalypse now live in today. This isn’t a retelling of one of the Fallout games, but instead a story that exists in the same canon that the games take place in.
Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy (both of whom created Westworld) are the executive producers and the series is produced by their production studio, Kilter Films. Todd Howard (the game director for Fallout 3, Fallout 4, and Fallout 76) is also an executive producer.
What is the Fallout game series?
Just like the TV show, the Fallout games force players to go out into irradiated wastelands and complete certain objectives which vary from game to game. In Fallout 4, you need to find your son after unknown individuals kidnap him and kill your spouse, while in Fallout 1, you need to find an item integral to the water recycling system of your Vault after said system stops working.
So far, the series has four numbered entries, along with a few spin-off games such as Fallout 76 (an online multiplayer Fallout game), Fallout Shelter (a mobile game where you upgrade your Vault and take care of its inhabitants), and Fallout: New Vegas (considered to be the best game in the series by everyone on Earth).
