Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Set for 2025 Release, Eight Years After Announcement – First Trailer WOW

Metroid Prime 4

Nintendo might have saved the best for last at its Nintendo Direct, revealing the trailer for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. The only downside is that we’ll have to wait until next year to play it.

Samus Aran is making a comeback, and with the game set to release in 2025, there’s speculation it could be on the rumored Nintendo Switch 2, though nothing official was mentioned. The timing could align, potentially making the game look even better than the already impressive trailer.

The trailer, shown during Nintendo Direct, featured two minutes of footage, including a mix of CGI and smooth gameplay that showcased first-person shooting sections with Samus.

It’s been over seven years since Nintendo announced Metroid Prime 4, and now we know it’s titled Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. We saw Samus transform into a ball and roll through various rooms, with everything looking slick, suggesting the game is well-optimized for the current Switch.

Fans have been waiting since 2007, when Metroid Prime 3 was released. Although there have been several remasters, it was back at E3 in 2017 that we first heard about Metroid Prime 4. No one expected to wait until 2025, but based on the new footage, it looks like the wait might be worth it.
